The Hammer Circle Trophies List All THE CHRIS PRESTON WINTER HANDICAP Individual shields for winning team members This competition is between teams of FOUR throwers and is organised on a local basis in February/March each year. All competitions must be held under A.A.A. rules. Anyone wishing to enter a team is responsible for booking tracks, arranging for officials and sending the results to the Secretary. A team of four competitors of any mixture of men or women in any age category with each thrower handicapped depending on his or her age group. The team score is the total of each thrower's best throw + or - the handicap percentage. In the event of a team not being able to field FOUR throwers a credit distance is allowed for each missing thrower. There is no annual trophy for the winning team but individual shields are awarded at the annual Hammer Circle Reunion to the successful team members.
